After 25 Years Refinishing Floors, I Was Tired of Watching Homeowners Get Ripped Off
For over 25 years, I walked into homes across Northwest Indiana with a crew, heavy equipment, and quotes that made families wince. $3,000. $5,000. Sometimes $8,000 for a whole house.
"I watched families skip vacations, delay renovations, and just live with ugly floors because they couldn't afford to fix them. That always bothered me."
The hardware-store alternatives weren't real options either — wax polishes that clouded over in weeks, formulas that peeled, fumes that meant opening every window.
So in 2017, I sat down with my wife Shari and our son Ryan and decided to build what I always wished existed: the same polyurethane chemistry we use professionally, in a self-leveling formula any homeowner could apply in an afternoon.
